No, Anna Nicole Smoth was estranged from her mother and family for years. There was no love between them. There were numerous abuses that Anna Nicole claimed had happened with her mother over the years and she stated various times that she hated her mother.

Yes, she is the legal next of kin. Anna may not have believed it, but I believe that her mother has always loved her and only wanted the best for her.
I think she despised her mother because she was doing things that she knows she shouldn't and when Mom didn't approve she got mad at her because she was going to live her life the way she wanted.
How many people approve of her marrying a 80 some year old man when they are 26? How many mothers approve of their daughter stripping for a living? How many mothers approve of their daughter posing for Playboy?
Anna and her mother had major conflicts because of her lifestyle. That doesn't mean that her mother ever stopped loving her.

i feel what ever the dna test proves who the dad is should get the baby.i dont know if anna mom should get the baby because her mom had nothing to say about her nice when she was a live . i think it is a little to late to try to make peace because anna is gone. but also i know anna mom is hurting to because she just lost her grandson a couple of months ago and she just lost anna so i honstly think anna mom is hurting. my concer is the baby . all party need to rember their is a small child that just lost her mother and brother. i dont know where anna should be buried at i say just put her to rest so she could finally be at peace. anna died of a broken heart

I think they need to do DNA tests ASAP and whoever the father is should get the baby (unless she is the daughter of the old, dead guy). If Smith and Stern were (somehow) legally married, he should have the right to Smith's body. If they weren't legally married, the mother may have rights...irregardless of who is who and what is what, it needs to be resolved as soon as humanly possible so we can stop being bombarded with this story every time we turn on the computer or the radio or the tv...it's a circus and I am sick of it

No! Anna didn't even like her mother, the baby shouldn't see her grandmother if the situation is like that. Anna's body is going to be buried, it can't be given dead to someone. That's sick, man.

This is a really sad situation...a famous woman dies and no one knows who to give her remains to...Is there no one to take responsibility for this huge mess ??? Its a disgrace that she is not buried yet..let the poor woman rest in peace and give the baby to the baby's father...how come its taking so long for the DNA test ?? they should take it to the Maury Povich show..his results come back in 48 hours !!!

yes i think she should get the baby and the body of anna.howard can't take care of himself'how could he take care of a baby....with everyone around Howard ends up dead hope the baby doesn't ...that Howard is really creepy....
