I need to change a series of timings from 0 seconds to 150 seconds to minutes and seconds (not percentages of minutes). I'm using Excel 2000 and need an expert to tell me the formula. Thanks!!!!!

Say your input is in cell A1. Then in cell B1 enter the following formula:

=A1/(60*60*24)

The division by 60 * 60 * 24 is necessary because Excel stores all dates as integers and all times as decimal fractions. Excel takes your value as a day. By dividing your number by the number of seconds in a day (60*60*24) it converts your number into the decimal fraction representing that many seconds.

Format B1 like this:

In the "Format cells" Dialog
Select Custom
In the "Type:" box
Type in "mm:ss" or "mmm:ss" if you could have greater than 99 minutes.

to minute
= your second cell * 60

to second
= your minute cell / 60

is that what you mean ?
