ok...im vietnamese...glad to know u, pal. Are u an immigrant? because it would be easier for u to do an essay about it. I came here two years ago and i think that vietnamese culture helped me to understand how to behave other people in a nice way. Its good to make relationship to ur community such as ur neighbors or teachers because someday, u will need their help and its easier for u to ask. I have been taught to work hard to earn what i deserve. If i have a job then my boss would be grateful to have me as an employee because i show efforts. Well that's all i can think of right now. Hope it help u somehow. By the way, can u help my with my question about the american dreams?

Since the basic question involves how YOUR experiences influence how YOU serve YOUR community, none of us can help. To me "community" could be you school, your family, your group of friends, your church, your town, your club, etc. However, you first need to be sure what "community" your teacher has in mind. Once that is clear then you can just think about what you personally do to serve that particular community. "Serve" doesn't always have to be something spectacular. For example, you might serve your school by being attentive in class, participating in class discussions, helping other students, etc. You might serve your community by not littering or better yet, picking up litter when you see it. Since your nationality was included as part of the basic question, the service might be acting as a good role model or helping others who may be having problems with the English language.

Did you have any problems as a bilingual person? Were you discriminated against? Does your religion make you different?
