Hey

Restart your computer in safe mode by rebooting and repeatedly pushing the F8 key.
When you get the options, use the arrow keys to scroll to "start in safe mode with networking"
Push enter and enter again
Push yes at the next prompt
Go to the following site and run an online virus scan

www.bitdefender.com

It sounds like a virus....

If not, sometimes a power supply will cause a reboot situation, that is where I would go next.

Good Luck

Sounds like you have your computer set for automatic restart. When you start your PC up tap on f8 until it comes to a safe mode screen.Use the arrow buttons to select safe mode.Once you get into safe mode go to the control panel and click on system. Then click on the advanced tab.Click on settings in start up and recovery.Clear the box that says automatic restart. You will now be able to find out what is wrong. You can allso do a system restore from here.

It sounds like either a boot error or a power supply problem. Does it beep at all on startup. If so, elaborate on the beeps:
How many?
How long?
The beeps tell alot.
