I get that people enjoy ball tossing but these players get paid millions of dollars to throw balls around.

It comes down too the laws of supply and demand. There's only a limited number of players who can play at the top level in each sport with many people who want too see them play. This means money comes in from all sorts of sources TV rites,ticket sales, and merchandise the public buys. Finally many billionaire owners like paying good money to these athletes so they can feel like champions when they win.

Because in order to get to the pros you have to get good grades in high school and throw a ball perfectly and grab attention, and bare through injuries.

Because a huge amount of people are willing to pay alot of money to watch them.
