Here is my problem. I am charting my temps I have really low starting temps such as 96.5. I noticed that most women are supposed to have around a 97 temp before ovulation. My temp did go up to 97.6 for 2 days and then back down. I also had other symptoms of ovulation such as eggwhite cervical mucus and a positive opk. Question is did anyone have this experience. what does it mean when my temp whent back down after 2 days and I am still a week away from my period.

My pre-ovulation temp. is almost around the same as yours - 96.3 to 96.5 on average! It doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary! Maybe it just takes a few days for your temperature to stay 'up'! I don't know what to tell you, though! I hope all works out for you, though!

Oh, and just because everyone else pre-ovulation temps. are in the 97 degree area doesn't mean that yours has to be like that...every woman is different!

Some women's temperatures are lower, not everyone's pre-ovulation temp is above 97. Preovulation temperature can be between 96 - 97 degrees.

After ovulation, your temperature should go up and remain up until you have your period. The day of your period your temperature will drop.

maybe you aren't ovulating. When I monitored my BBT's even though my temp dropped then spiked like it was supposed to apparently the egg wasn't mature enough to be fertilized.
