Anyone who disagrees is a st8 up FOOL.

the mavs after tonight..44-9???????? are you serious. FORTY FOUR AND NINE?

You take dirk off that team, they are not even .500, minus josh howard who else do they have? NOBODY.

If they finish 60-9..and dirk ain't mvp there is a league fix on the mavs.

Kid is sick, he's already got 12 points in tonights first* qtr against houston.

Negative. I still say Steve Nash is the MVP. Look at the Suns without him. Losing to the Sonics? I rest my case. Dirk is amazing and with Nash injured he might win MVP but I still say Nash is MVP.

I partially agree with you. Dirk is doing pretty damn well right now. More points, rebounds and has shown leadership. If you do take him away, yes, they will lose a lot of games (under .500 is unknown) but the problem is, is Dirk the leader of ALL the games? What about Josh Howard? He is known to be the clutch at times. Heck, if it wasn't for him, he would've never won the thriller against Toronto. He has done so much, but has gained so little. His stats are off the charts compared to the last few years. Dirk is pretty amazing but sometimes I just find him somewhat overrated. Another thing, look at the Suns. They were completely destroyed by the Sonics and Hawks. They aren't even over .500. Thats HORRIBLE! Steve Nash is like the organs of the Suns body. Without him, they'd never had those two winning streaks, and the playoff chances for the last three years.

I am a fool because Steve Nash is MVP this year. the suns totally struggle when he is not in the line up and he makes everyone around him better. No question Dirk is a good player but Nash take the game to a whole new level. The Mavs are not going to win tonight my boy Tmac will scorch you for 60.

ok let me put you on some game here playa! Dirk?? Dirk??? are you kidding me?? the softest player in the NBA!! He has a GOOD enough team that's it. He is overhyped and not a clutch player. He does have extreme talent and will most likely win it cuz everyone is on his nuts right now. HE SHOULDN'T win it he doesn't deserve it and just like last year when Nash got it instead of KOBE ( who should've gotten it last year and deserves it this year) Dirk will get it and another year that the most deserving player in the NBA not getting it. So keep kissing his *** all you want but everyone knows that Kobe is the real MVP! oh and by the way Kobe dropping 63 in three quarters outscoring your beloved Dirk and the Mavs last year should tell you a lot about your boy and your sorry *** team!!

I agree with you when you say tha DIrk should hands down have the MVP.

However, I think that youre thinking too low of the rest of the team. Howard = amazing. Jason Terry? Yeah, he can hold his own as well. Diop and Dampier? Good. Harris and Stackhouse? Good at what they do. George? Yeah, he too is pretty good.

Without Dirk the team still can win. Not going to say theyd have a record like they do now, but it would probably be in the ranks of San Antonio, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver and Utah.

I don't think it's so clear. look at what the suns have been doing since nash has been out. everyone's scoring is way down, amare's fg% is horrible, they lost to Atlanta! Atlanta!! they barely beat the blazers in over time. I'm not saying dirk is not in the running, but i don't think it's a done deal. nash is likely to win again, i think.

also...when you look at the mavs, it really is jhoward that's making the difference for them this season. dirk is dirk. doing what dirk does. howard is the difference this season for the mavs record. he's totally elevated his game.

I'll never forget how I was sort of disappointed when the Mavs drafted Dirk. I wanted Paul Pierce. What an idiot I am.

Yes you are right, Dirk has become what duncan was to the spurs 3 years ago.

Gilbert Arenas are you kidding me. look at what happens when he has a bad game. He's their offense plus he dosen't complain about saying his team blew last years finals you can have that baby as much as you want, but I'd take Gil over him in a heartbeat.
