Why are pole dancers considered dumb?

When many are students, avoiding debt.

Only having to work 1 night a month to earn more then many do in a month.

Getting fit.

Practicing boy pulling flirt tricks

Being able to by a house for cash in two years, in a nice area, do it up all nice, no depts, no mortage and after a few more years will be nice and fit.

Can live off the interest of their bank accounts,do their uni trined career for fun if they want or travel around the world, pension etc all sorted.

As £800 a night = £4000 a week...

= £16,000 a month £192,000 a year

Fellow students working for min wage as bar staff,

£5.5/hour 2 nights a week two full days on the weekend £132 a week. Doing the crappy work. or in some boring no self respect call centre or other repetative job,

Or most other jobs are for £20-£25,000 pa

How is that smart... especally as many earn more like £11,000pa

And how is self respect and and not degrading to be doing

boring, repetative, go nowhere, treated like dirt by boss jobs instead of fun dancing, flirting, keeping fit and changing clothes

Why should women please men as a job in the first place? Why can't there be as many places for men to dance around in thongs for us women as there are strip bars for men?

Actaully bri

Id be all for male strippers for the ladies and would love to be one.

All these girls thinking Im hot and sexy and actually paying to see my Bod.

And love dancing and music and being on a stage.

So would feel like being a rock star withall the girls throwing all their bras on stage with a phone number and saing show us your butt you are soooo sexy and hunky.

How is it exploitation?

Its surely like girls flirting to get drinks in a bar as they think its fun controling boys.

So showing more and getting more cash still controlling boys.

As said most guys are simply lonley or on a 18th, 21st or bucks night party

Because they are contributing to the downfall of societies. America has many problems with crime and divorce due to the lack of Islam

How can that be true.

If someone is in a happy positive realtioship... strippers would be boring as the misses is more fun.

How is it contributing to crime? Societies that are more relaxedabout sex are more peacful and have lower crime rates.

Islamic countries are all about bullying women not letting them drive or choose boyfriends and being mean to gays and loving couples.

If you're saying it's right just because they make more money than a person working an average job, you're wrong. That's like you arguing that selling drugs is right just because you make some fast cash.

Erm stripping is dancing, and flirting, and givining lonley guys some attention for a bit or heloping birthday/bucks party guys feel a bit naughty and have a laugh.

How does that compare to selling hurtful, harmful addictive drugs that hurt.

How are strippers hurting anyone?

If you have to resort to selling the sexuality of your body for the amusement of others, you're not that smart to begin with. I have nothing against it, don't get me wrong, but I do feel that exploiting men and women in that way is demeaning.

Well let's face it, we don't see a lot of brainy strippers as role models. Our society is ingrained to disparage and associate with guilt anything sexual, while at the same time being obsessed with it. If I were alone in the world, and had a hot body, I would consider it, but I would be afraid of certain risks involved,
such as not saving for my future and getting an education, but using all the money on drugs instead (to quote a stereotype).

Perhaps a strippers union and a pension plan would upgrade their image?

Because (back on my soap box) people make assumptions about others based on their job title. How ridiculous. You give the example of someone who may do it one night a month. Say they do an eight hour shift, and it's a 28 day month. That person is spending 1.2% of their time that month pole-dancing, but for some people they would be a "pole-dancer" end of story. The other 98.8% of their time doesn't count for such people. We can all do our bit (to return to my soap box) and make it a rule not to ask people what they "do" , and if we do find out not to make any assumptions.

You mean like models and TV stars and singers and people in the entertainment industry, yes they're really smart. I , however had to work nights, 8 hour shifts for 18 years. I must really be dumb eh! I can promise you one thing though the world won't always be like this 'cos everything is upside down at the moment.

If you're saying it's right just because they make more money than a person working an average job, you're wrong. That's like you arguing that selling drugs is right just because you make some fast cash. Someone said it's wrong because it's exploitation of their bodies. Well, what about runway models? Is that wrong too?
...It just depends on your beliefs.
But personally, I don't agree with it because I have more class than to dance around on some pole all night & tease & please men just to make more money than someone working at McDonalds. Why should women please men as a job in the first place? Why can't there be as many places for men to dance around in thongs for us women as there are strip bars for men?

probably bec people assume that instead of being productive and getting an education, they're pulling the vice-versa- not paying for education to get ahead, dancing instead of an education. i don't know... i'm not too sure, just taking a stab at it. i mean, you are letting people into your personal space, though, and that's not ok with a lot of people. though i think pole dancers probably do see a lot of sad dark things about human nature, and do have to be well emotionally balanced to deal w that.

It's exploitation. Even if they exploit themselves...they're still being exploited.

I guess people can do what they want, but it's ooky and it's not empowering at all. If I thought they truly enjoyed it and were just having fun, it wouldn't be so bad.

But if they were really just having fun...they wouldn't expect pay for it. They'd be like, naw, dude, keep your dollar bills! I'm just doing this so I don't have to pay for a gym!

Ugh.

It's wrong. It's better than being a prostitute...but that's not saying much.
