my name is pronounced CHRIS- TIN (like tin roof) just like normal. i like my spelling, but people always mispell it. it kinda gets annoyinng. but i like my spelling... anyone else?

Well my nieces name is not spelled like that its spelled Chrysten so yea thats different and i love when the name spelled differently. so i love ur spelling. and its hard for people to spell my nieces name correctly b/c they always want 2 spell it like Kristin or Kristen. the usual.

My name is Gaisthre (pronounced as Guy Three). its an indian name but with a totally different spelling coz even indians find it hard to pronounce it due to the fact that the normal spelling for the same pronouciation is Gayathri or Kayathri!!!

This is a spelling variation on the name Kristen or Kristin, right?
I think it looks beautiful... and Kristen is a beautiful name... but I wonder why the 'y'?
Usually the letter 'y' will give a "ya" sound like in the name Tonya, or an "ee" sound like in the name Amy, or a long 'i' sound, such as in the words "eye" or "lying"...
I am not use to seeing 'y' represent a short 'i' (like in the word "it" or "fit")... I guess other people are not use to it either and that's why everyone spells your name wrong.
But do I like it... honestly? Yes I do.

I like the name and the spelling - Kylie. It is short and sweet. Also I was a big Kylie Minogue fan in the early 90's and I still like her.

I think it's great. So people misspell it that's their loss. My Middle name is Catharine and people think that's odd. I say it takes all kinds to make the world go round and if every thing was the same ugh! how dull would that be.
