What is a stalker?

Someone that won't leave you alone. Knows your address and keeps a close eye from not too far. Never had one! Seems creepy. Its usually someone infatuated with another who won't take no for an answer.

a stalker is a person that follows anther for 24 hours 7 days a week they write note they totally become the focus of there life and they know its against the law, but they are saw infatuated they cannot see straight, they loose job family home, just to be around the anther person. it comes were they get caught ant they serve at least 2 years.

My feelings are that if someone is following you, watching you, for most any reason, but especially to frighten or threaten you- that's stalking...

A friend of mine had a guy at work who was working on stalking her... He'd purposely sit by her, try to talk to her (which interfered with both of them doing their jobs...). He even followed her home one night, and he drove around the block about 4 or 5 times before she called the police. The officer pulled him over, talked to him, told him to lay off, or she'd be able to take legal recourse against him.

Someone who gets an unhealthy obsession for one particular person and spends their entire time giving that person unwanted attention, mostly following them around, but also hanging about outside their homes, maybe sending mail and lots of phone calls etc.

They like one person for years at a time and do juvenile things such as finding their phone number out from someone else, calling them 3 times a week, driving past their house, finding out where they work, knowing every little fact about them even when they know nothing about you, memorizing their license plate number, keeping pictures and photos of them you've stolen, collecting items of theirs such as used straws, etc.

Now please dont ask me to answer this cause it brings back so many good and bad memories.the WORST was when I was in my early college and boy...at one point I was so badly overwhelmed I was in tears so my parents had no other options but to hand him over to authorities.I still hate to think about that.
