People lye all the time and so do you.
It's mostly a question of survival. It may just mean that the person doesn't know of a better way to tell you something. We all have to be able to live with a minimal amount of lying in your environmement. It's a normal human behavior. If you accept your friends as normal human beings who aren't perfect than you have to live with a bit of lying. You have to know the difference between an inocent white lye, a defencive lye and a harmfull lye. You basicaly have to use your jugement and ask yourself whether the lye is that serious.
Relax and don't take life so seriously. Your friends will like you better if you accept to close your eyes and let a little white lye go across once in a while.

I used to have a similar problem with a friend of mine. Every time I would ask him about his weekend, he would lie, always giving me a distorted view of what he had done. So one day, I secretly attached a small wire to the collar of his shirt. Every time he would lie, I would press a button and give him a small shock. Depending on the severity of the lie, I would either increase or decrease the voltage of the shock. In no time at all, he he stoopped lying to me completely! Good luck!

Find out why s/he is lying to you first. Maybe they don't trust easily, or maybe they're more of an introvert, keeping others out of their own little bubble. If after you've confronted them and they still lie to you, move on and find friends who will respect you and be honest with you.

First of all, find out why is your friend lying to you? Then determine what to do about it. Be prepared for a response. Also be prepared for your friend to be in denial.

Just pull him/her aside and talk to them. Tell them how you feel. Maybe they don't realize that they are hurting your feelings. Look, I've gone through the same thing.
