I know this was his break out year and he needs to go a couple more to be considered great. My top ten is:
1. LT
2. LJ
3. Stephen Jackson
4. Shaun Alexander
5. Willis McGahee
6. Clinton Portis
7. Frank Gore
8. Rudi Johnson
9. Brian Westbrook
10. Edgerrin James

I think Gore should be ranked alot higher probably above Shaun Alexander. He was 3rd in total rushing yards with 1,695 and his per rush average was 5.4 which was even higher than LT's. I only see him getting better next season with Norv Turner coming back as offensive coordinator. Also shouldn't Reggie Bush be able to crack the top 10 next season? He looked much improved at the end of this one.

I see it as:
1) LT
2) LJ
3) Jackson
4) Gore
5) Westbrook

I would have rated Edge higher than you did, too, but past my top five, it gets a bit more cloudy. I couldn't figure out where to stick him- It's impossible to tell how good he is behind the Card's o-line.

McGahee- possibly the most overrated back of modern times.

Clinton Portis's career as an elite back is over. I anticipate him splitting carries next year.

It is hard to say where to rank Deuce. Sure, he is a phenomenal back, but he kinda struck me as a product of the system this year. Between a great passing attack and splitting carries with Reggie, I just don't think that defenses could key in on him like they would have been able to if he played for any other team.

Move Willis McGahee down to about 15 and put Gore at 5.

I like your list but Rudi is better and much more consistent. Gore is a stud and in the upcoming years he will break away as a straight up leader of the pack. Couple more years to become elite.

Gore is about right. On a diff. team he could be 4-5. Deuce McCallister might be on this list. He's similar to Westbrook, versatile.

I would put him 8 and put james 7 because arizona's offensive line sucked but he still had a 1000+ season

Gore is about 4th on my list because he doesn't have the offensive line that the others do HE IS A MONSTER IN THE BACKFIELD
