a friend gave me a cell that was left in her driveway. Dont know who's it is. No one has claimed it in over a month. Is it possiable to transfer activation from my phone to that one? if so how? n What are the consiquences?

Well, I have worked in the cellular phone industry before so yes, if it compatible with your network you can activate it by bringing it in to your local store. However, be warned that there is something called an ESN number (it's like a social security number, but for phones) so if this phone is reported lost or stolen it will, most likely, show up in their system. So when you go to the store be warned that they MAY take the phone. That is not always the case, but sometimes. Anyway, when you go in be very clear that you found the phone and if they take it away just let them have it. Again, that doesn't always happen, but I just thought I would give you a heads up.

go to the verizon store and pay them like 10 bucks n they will do it
