Why don't people that ask questions pick a best answer?

I like to choose the BA, but have accidentally forgotten the time is run out before I've got round to choosing best answer! Yahoo reminds you 2 days before but you think "oh 2 days....ages left"....I think Yahoo should change this reminder to 1 day left.

I dunno if this is the same reason others dont choose a best answer ?? Maybe in some cases they just can't decide. ?

I dk its retarted.... Some people never pick a best answer and put it up to vote and 6+ months later they are still in voting because of a tie.... and no one ever gets the best answer... I mean if you take the time to ask a question just pick a best answer!!
Ps. I always pick a best answer....

If i am doing a poll or a survey I like to let people vote for the best answer to let me learn the popular opinion.
Sometimes I do not know which answer is best and do not feel qualified to pick a best answer.
Then I might pick the highest rated answer if there is one.

Hey! I used to ask 40+ questions, and I gave each and every last one a best answer. And for legit reasons, I did'nt just pick my friends.

maybe cause they have better things to do...it's not like they're on yahoo answers 24/7 waiting for the "pick a best answer" thing to come up. people have lives you know. plus their questions expire and they weren't able to on time.

I LIKE TO PICK AN ANSWER RIGHT AWAY! BUT THEY MAKE ME WAIT 4 HOURS !LOL, BUT I CANT STAND IT WHEN OTHERS DONT!
