I own a 2002 Gran Prix. The exact same problem happened to me. The fan motor wore out. You are going to have to get the fan motor replaced. I paid about $100.00 for the fan plus labor to install it.

Get it fixed. Soon you will have no heat or ac.

You mean the blow motor fan for cabin air ??? If so and its clicking on all speed could one of two things. One something could have fallen down the vent or defog tubes and its hitting the fan blades as it spins ( cheap easy fix remove fan motor remove whatever it is reinstall motor your done ) Or it could be the bearings in the blower motor itself. ( fix for this is replacing the motor )

Also something could have fallen in the defroster duct and the fan is hitting it. Should be fairly simple to pull the fan and see. If you do not want to do, get an estimate or two, then decide.

Try turning the cold warmer knob to center if it goes away i ave no clue, same problem with my truck. In the rear. But if it still makes that noice then it's either the blower fan or somethings stuck in it. They should only have to just check it out. You "shouldn't" have to replace anything.
