Why do people think to be cool you have to make fun of people and call other people names and make fun of them.

People are human. We all try to be nice but at one time or another you will end up making fun of someone just to make the people around you think you are cooler, but it really doesn't change anything

I think people who think this way have low self-esteems. The only way they can feel better about themselves is to create a false sense of superiority by belittling others.

Good question. I think it's more immaturity than anything, and sometimes the culprits aren't even young!

They haven't been taught how to get along with others by their parents
