that you don't want your answer to be to far down for by typing just one or two letters, then going back into edit and putting in your answer. i have done that for one of teose first answers win but i wasn't firts anyway

I'm amazed at how many people have chosen me as best answer - even when I've been on the second page. I never realised people just put a couple of words in to try and be first to get chosen.... but I'm still quite new at this.

I've heard that is called placeholding and is actually a violation of YA policy. Although I have no idea why it really matters, our points mean nothing. Who cares who gets the most? Does anyone ever reach their limits for answering, asking, voting....?? I do this for 3-4 hrs a day sometimes and never reach my limits.

I did a Q on exactly that just a few days ago. It is Such a cheap tactic.
When people ddo that to MY questions, I always give the 10 pts to the *2ND* person out of spite.

I read every single answer my questions get, and I give B.A. to what I feel is the best one.
I expect most others do the same thing.
