Love is perhaps the most complicated word in the English language. It means that you care so deeply for a person that you can't live without and would die for them. It makes the person you say it to your world. It also is willing to compromise what one wants for what their beloved needs.

love is the ultimate virtue which cannot survive by itself... it is the result of a sum of virtues--being loyal, trusting, patient, honest, kind, thoughtful, understanding, selfless, faithful, respectful etc.

here's a thought: if you love someone, you will respect that person, be loyal, thoughtful, understanding, selfless, faithful, honest, kind, and trust that person... you will also commit whole-heartedly :)
