I stopped using contractions in college to lengthen my papers and I still do not use them.

If I had to listen to country music for any reason then I would just say screw it and stab myself.

It isn't hard to use contractions.
I didn't have any problem using them in my papers in college.
You won't have to worry, if your paper has enough substance.
You shouldn't depend on not using contractions in order to fill in your word count.
I wouldn't be concerned about adding them to your vocabulary.
If you aren't interested in these ideas, then I can't help you. LOL

Just start using them. Use the basic ones:

Can't - Cannot
Don't - Do not
Won't - Will not
Isn't - Is not

Then add some of the less commonly written (but still commonly said ones)

That'd - That would
What'd - What did

Just type exactly as you would say something.

It is good that you do not use contractions, because they are very painful. I do not like them myself, and would not use them unless I was in labor.

I can only suggest that you read through your old papers and see how ******* retarded you sound. That should do it.
