there are several TYPES or KINDS of epithelia tissue they can be classified as simple or stratified, then they can be squamous, cuboidal, or columnar. pseudostratified is found primarily in the respitory tract. and transitional epithelial tissue is what makes up your urinary bladder.

the majority of the epithelial tissues in the body are on areolar or loose conective tissue.

if you are refering to the epithelial tissue in the epidermis of the skin then we are talking about kerotinized stratified squamous epithelial tissue, resting on areolar tissue in the dermis and deep to that would be the hypodermis, or subcutaneous layer, which is mostly adipose tissue(fat cells)

epithelial tisue has several layers. they are squamous-simple and stratified, cuboidal-simple and stratified, columnar-simple and psuedostratified and finally transitional. And the answer is in order from skin to addipose tissue. hope this helps
