Consider the first fight between Cain and Abel who were brothers. Humans have been fighting each other since we sinned and disobeyed God's perfect standard. None of us come close to that standard even today. And we didn't "evolve" over millions of years into modern man with sophisticated weapons. God created human beings perfectly with a free will and they chose to sin. Each of us still make those choices--all struggle with the same sinful nature and desires just as Cain and Able did almost 8,000 years ago.

Before recorded history, witness the Iceman they found a few years ago, killed by an arrow to the back. We are territorial, acquistive animals with no inate moral sense. With out the effects of growing up in a semi-civilized society we would be killing and eating each other.

It's Rule #1 – Greed runs the world. Always has; always will. Whether it's a tribe of Ned Neanderthals, Bedouin camel drivers, or nation states, we all want what’s in our best interests. And we’ll do almost anything to get it.
And greed isn’t necessarily bad. Most parents want something better for their children than they had. But it’s still greed in the broadest sense of the word. So we’ll defend our food, our land, our energy sources and our society against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I think it may be because it's ingrained within our nature to fight. Back in prehistoric days, we had to fight - to protect ourselves, to protect our loved ones, or even to find food. Evolutionary changes take place over millions of years, and humans haven't been around nearly long enough to breed those traits out of us.
Once the majority of people stop being attracted by violence or violent tendencies, more peaceful people will have offspring, leading to more children that have a stronger tendency to be peaceful. But violence is still popular now, and people are still attracted by strong or aggressive traits.
Once WWE and boxing fall out of style, maybe we'll be able to move on. But until then... we don't have a fighting chance. (ha. i couldn't resist.)

I think because even before recoerded time we were fighting for everything we needed to survive. Therefore we became warriors.
And we continue to war.Because whats a warrior without a war?
Thats like being a biker without a bike.
