Yes. His opinion had no merit. It was hateful and ignorant. Sometimes, it is best to keep those things to ourselves.

Tim Hardaway like every other person has the right to voice his opinions. But like anybody else he should be prepared to face the consequences of speaking his mind. Especially when voicing an opinion that is considered socially or politically incorrect.
Most bigots aren't ready for the heat that their hate speech brings them and quickly apologize for their words but that doesn't mean they don't still have the feelings.
Sad really that a minority man feels that he is entitled to be prejudice against another minority group. You would think that his life experiences would make him more empathetic than that. But then bigotry doesn't really make much distinction, it is just blind fear and hatred.

I don't think it's WRONG, per se, just very stupid. He has this wonderful right in America to express his views, no matter how unpopular. However, there is a price we pay for this liberty, and Tim Hardaway is beginning to find out what that is. In his case, in dollars and cents.
You can't expect the NBA to want to be associated with him from now on.

In America, we have the right to say what we want, when we want, however we want. Whether I agree with what Hardaway said is another matter, but really, would you rather the hate-mongers stay hidden? I think they're much easier to find when they're allowed to speak their so-called minds.

very wrong he was representing the NBA not himself in that interview. He was going to be apart of all star weekend, now he will probably never get a high profile job again. Maybe he should coach in the wnba there isn't any gay people playing in that league. You don't say something like that in public even if that's what you feel or think sometimes you have to bite your lip and say no comment.

I don't think he was wrong for voicing his opinions. He is just wrong about the way he went about voicing them and the language that he used while voicing them. He could have easily said that he just doesn't like gay people, but to go on and on about how they make him sick was a little uncalled for.
