Yes i am outraged by this. Although I've not read anything from this man i find it unbelievable that a 67 year old man would be imprisoned for just thoughts and opinions. If his theories aren't fact than it should be easy to discredit, but this just tells the world that theres secret powers that lie under the freedom we apparently live with. Germany as a country should be ashamed to have carried this court and conviction out.

fla5232- If anyone decides to become a terrorist because of what Zundel says, that's their fault, not his.
So yes, I am outraged that his free speech rights are being violated and he's being put in prison because the holocaust enforcers don't like what he has to say. How is that any different from the Christians persecuting those who they believed were heretics? It isn't and this modern day crusade against revisionist historians in nothing more than a witch hunt.

Imprisoning someone because of their beliefs is characteristic of dictatorships. We have to be able to question past events otherwise
our future history books could be packed with falsehoods. He wasn't saying "go out and kill Jews" he was saying "I don't believe the holocaust happened the way most think it did, or to the same extent." He is entitled to have an opinion and not be locked up for it.
It looks like Germany exchanged one dictatorship for another: the newer one being called 'political correctness'.

No I am not outraged. What he had said about the "Holocaust Never Existed" was so ignorant and very disrespectful to the people who went through the Holocaust. He deserves every bit of prison that he gets. I was hoping he would get much longer.

I am. I believe the man's opinions and theories are vile, but you shouldn't go to prison for holding or expressing vile beliefs.

He incites violence by his opinions that deny fact, he could potentially end up creating his own terroist group by what he says.
