I have been seeing this written everywhere recently....am I missing something?

its like a mini-episode.
its anything from hobbies (like sport racing, try street fury), music (I think there's one about hollywood's celebs), comedy (there's a funny podcast called Happy tree friends), games (there's a Halo podcast), etc. Anything you like it's on there.
There's tons on iTunes and they're FREE

I t can be another way to listen to radio programmes. Say you missed the Today programme on Radio 4. You could download the programme from the BBC website and listen to it an MP3 player. There are also lots of private people with specialist interests who make podcasts. Obviously you can also listen to these on your PC or laptop.

it is on your ipod that ypu can get from itunes letting you know whats going on ex.. on my ipod i have danity kane tlking about their new album (this was oct podcast) they usally have a new one every week nut it is like a lil veido that you need an ipod veido 2 have

On iTunes it will be about a certain topic. Each weak they usually have a new one. I like the @U2 one and the Project Runway. They are on all sorts of subjects. Have fun if you get one!

i really don't know but it sounds like a remote web cast, sending streaming video from your ipod but i've not gone so far.

you can get all different categories of podcasts
and they are all free

"pod" is by Mac and "cast" is broadcast... an internet audio/video streaming maybe?
