There's very little good about it. It's main reason for being is to take away more human rights and give the Government more control.

The PATRIOT act is compromised of ten articles:
* Title I: Enhancing Domestic Security against Terrorism deals with measures that counter terrorism
* Title II: Enhanced Surveillance Procedures gave increased powers of surveillance to various government agencies and bodies. There were 25 sections, with one of the sections (section 224) containing a sunset clause.
* Title III: International money laundering abatement and anti-terrorist financing act of 2001
* Title IV: Protecting the border
* Title V: Removing obstacles to investigating terrorism
* Title VI: Providing for victims of terrorism, public safety officers and their families
* Title VII: Increased information sharing for critical infrastructure protection
* Title VIII: Strengthening the criminal laws against terrorism
* Title IX: Improved intelligence
* Title X: Miscellaneous

Large parts of it take away rights that brave Americans had fought for over the past 225 years, while Bush administration foreign policy continues to create millions and millions more potential terrorists . . . making it a most Unpatriotic Act!

It kills my spirit to think that I have big brother watching my every step. The only reason we are a terrorist target is because of the illiberal democracy we live in. The government has made choices "in the name of the american people" that are having ramifications years later.

It makes it legal to monitor suspected terrorist calls(international) to and from the United States of America,therefore it helps us catch and stop the terrorist from killing Americans. Here and abroad!
