Go to the drugstore and get an empty enema bottle. If you are constipated, you can just use a little warm (not hot) water and squeeze the bottle which will gently force the liquid into your anal cavity. Maintain a "rear end in the air" posture while in the tub until you have an overwhelming urge to go, then quickly, move to the toilet and void.
You should remain in the tub posture for as long as you can stand it and definitely while you feel a trickling down effect inside. What all this does is to loosen thickened and remaining stool, which you may have been having trouble passing.
Remember, this is a gentle process. Do not force anything or you may hurt yourself and will only make it worse.
Otherwise, if you want to go have it done, check with your medical provider and see what they charge.

At the pharmacy just a few dollars. If you are constipated you can use glycerine suppositories also, they stimulate the bowels without the mess of all that water being put into the rectum. Or use a stool softener or even some epsom salts. enemas are difficult to give to ones self.

You can get them at Wal-Mart and they probably won't cost more than $2.00 each. If you have a Family Dollar Store or a Dollar General Store,they generally run $1.00 each.

As the previous poster stated, you can do it yourself. You can purchase a plastic bottle with a tapered tip at any pharmacy. You can use simply clean slightly warm water or a medicinal solution.

If you are doing a home enima, you can get a kit at your local drug store for a few dollars.
If you have to have a proceedure, then it's whatever they charge for it. Call your local medical centre where you will have it done and ask them.
