Deer are among the most intelligent animals on earth; along with dolphins, humans and gorillas, they can recognise symbols and think abstractly.
They just decide to cross the road in other places because of their latent death-wish.

I don't know. The people just put the signs up because that must be a spot where deer frequently cross.

They also plot auto accidents.... they keep thinking they can sue for damages, but they usually mess up & get themselves killed....
