Frogs live in the water, toads don't. You will almost always find toads on land, and frogs in the water.

actually.. toads are actually frogs
the Amphibia class has a subclass called Lissamphibia, which includes Anura (frogs), Caudata (salamanders) and Gymnophiona (caecilians).
In Anura, there's the Bufonidae family.. which is the family of frogs known as toads. The basic characteristics are having warty skin and parotid glands (which excrete poison when the animal's stressed)
So you see, toads are actually a subdivision in frogs.. they aren't separate animals. You can't say for example that one is from an aquatic environment and the other is from a dry one, or that one has webbed feet and the other doesn't. There are thousands of frogs without webbed feet and even more frogs that don't live directly in water.

They are both members of the class Amphibia and the Order Anura, but they are different. Anatomically, frogs don't have chest bones, they've got a pectoral waist. Also, their eggs are very different, toad eggs are laid in line and frog's are laid in a circle.

toads have different pectoral girdle than most frogs. Toads can walk whereas most frogs must hop (except tree frogs).

Well, we have both of these creatures employed as shift managers at our work.
They are both slimy, ugly, disgusting creatures with long, probing tongues mainly used on their superiors backsides.
The only difference, in my opinion, is that one is wartier than the other.
