Well I am assuming she already had her nose pierced? Depending on how long she had it out it may have already begun to close up... I know when I had my nose pierced it didn't take long after I would take out the stud until the hole would begin to close from the inside out. I had also read that screws were the most difficult and least preferred by piercers...

i had the same exact problem. the stud is prolly the wrong length. what i did was grab a straight pin( usually used for sewing) and bent it. i cut off the pointy tip and i used that as a stud until i went to the place agin to have the guy put it back in for me.
