I didn't get anything from my girlfriend for Valentine's day. Does this mean something. We spent the day together and went to a nice dinner. I was wondering if guys are supposed to get stuff or not.

Yes, it should be equal...but sadly commercialization seems to have turned it into "give women presents day." I posted a question yesterday asking if men ever feel left out...all that pressure to impress only to receive little to nothing (be it materialistic or emotional) in return.

I'm sorry your girlfriend has bought into the Valentine's Day=Pamper Women Day...

I always get my husband something for Valentines day. Did you get your girlfriend anything other then just going out for dinner? Or was that all you all had decided to do?

Of course. Everyone that I know gives their guys something on Valentine's Day. Love isn't a one way street.

Yes, if your lady loves you she should want to get you something. That shows that she cares. There is nothing wrong in giving both ways.

If she cares for you she should have made an effort to show it. I would rethink the relationship.

Only unless your girlfriend really loves you! But mostly you get them for her because she deserves them!
