Fire and ice!! He was extremely jealous of her but could do little to control her. The marriage only lasted 9 months. That's got to tell you something about their relationship. I think he was obsessed with her only because at the end of the day she was never his to begin with.

Ive read that although he was that times most famous and sought after ballplayer, that he was a pretty private person, and that all the fanfare that went along with being with her was too much for him...but that he really loved her, even after they had split...
