No, it isn't. Just off shaded spots/veins (sometimes more greenish than blue) as follows:

Right after the pressing process (separating the curds from the whey), the cheese makers introduce fungal spores through the cheese by putting it through some funky machines that you might recognize if you have ever been spanked with an afro comb. These fungi, in turn eat into the cheese, growing is their own Little happy habitat and adding to the beautiful pungent flavor of the final product.

In the end, I would call it more like "Turquoise Spotted, Fungal Infected Goodness."

Bon Apetit!!

a real rochfert is but that is because of the rochfert caves it is aged in (the only place it can grow in the world) has that bacteria in the cave that transfers to the cheese as it ages bleu cheese (yes that is bleu cheese not blue) is a style/artificial way they produce that same effect taste a real rochfert versus a bleu you will notice the difference much like you would with a swiss vs mozzerela (maybe not as drastic but hope you get my point)

Yes it has blue specks or streaks in it, which is the mold growing on the cheese, making blue cheese moldy mold. It is a fairly strong flavored cheese, but very good.
