does any one know what the origanal bass player for them was??? also how do you feel about the song "belsen was a gas" which makes light of the holocaust and says that the nazis were only having fun?

Yes, I do. The original bass player was (and is) Glen Matlock.
As for 'Belsen Was a Gas', this was, like wearing swastika t-shirts at the time, meant to shock. The four lads in the Pistols were anything BUT fascists! By making light of something that was in fact very dark, they are commenting on the ability of certain people (as in the German civilians) to accept this kind of genocide. Have you not heard of sarcasm?
