(20/x)-(20/(x+4))=1 find x.?

x - (x + 4) = 20
x - x - 4 = 20

0 = 24 FALSE; there is no solution for x

Edit: Okay - I've obviously forgotten something important. I tried it out in MS Excel and came up with x = -11.165 or 7.165.

-11.165 A) 20/x = -.79, B) 20/(x+4) = -2.79, C) A - B = 1
7.165 A) 20/x = 2.79, B) 20/(x+4) = 1.79, C) A - B = 1

Sorry about my initial math moron answer. I would like to know where I screwed up!

i don't think there's a solution because when i tried it all the variables disappeared
Edit: actually, I tried it again, and I got 38
