I have an old Strat at my church where th nut has come loose, now if I wanan put in back myslef do I glue it back in place or is there some other special method?
If I have to glue it back what kind of glue should I use? Normal Elmers, Super Glue, Crazy Glue...Cuz Im afraid should the nut need to be replaced or repaired in the future that it might casue problems if I use super glue..so Help needed!

If the nut is still in good condition you can glue it back in place with a LIGHT TOUCH of Elmers white glue. This isn't a structural thing and it just has to be held in place.

Do NOT use Crazy Glue or anything like that.

You can't glue one back in place. You need to get it fixed properly by having a new one installed. It would be a shame to botch up an old Strat. That's a piece of history, man.

The best way to fix it is to go down to your local music shop and have them put a new one in. It's worth the extra cash to not screw up a classic strat.

Is the guitar worth a lot? If so take it to shop. If not, try it but if the nut is not stable it will really mess up the intonation.

Replace it with new.. go to tyour local music store dude.. don't botch up a cool old axe
