Everyone in the world is suddenly obsessed with The Office...yet I have questiond people if they have actually seen the British version, and the majority of them had no idea there even was a British version. So my question is why the heck must so many British shows be attempted by US television? Coupleing was a flop...Will and Grace is almost identical to a show that was in Britain as early as the 70's, I'm sorry I can't recall the name, I haven't seen it in a while. Now I have heard they are going to try to redo Footballer's Wives for American tv...I'm crying already thinking of how terribly that will turn out. Footballer's Wives is perfect as it is, and I don't get why American tv has to keep remaking British tv.

I agree. It's join the bandwagon mentality. If something works try and copy it. Unfortunately, American TV standards always have to water down and idea and ends up being crap. There was also an attempt to copy Absolutely Fabulous, I think it only made it to a pilot, Absolutely Garbage. I liked the UK show The Office, but the US version is just OK and that is the best of the copycats..
