After intending to read it for many years, I recently did finally did get around to reading Homer's "The Iliad" (the Robert Fagles translation).
It is absolutely stunning, a towering masterpiece! I'm only sorry I didn't read it much sooner.

My favorite classics are Gone With the Wind and Ivanhoe but I also love Camille. I love Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe also. I like Don Quixote by Cervantes.It's wonderful.

I love Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway. Ironically, it got swept away by Hurricane Katrina. I hope that no sharks are eating it.
