If you're having that much trouble with your mobility, I would recommend going to physical therapy if you have the insurance to do so. Just get a recommendation from a doctor and they'll approve you for a certain amount of physical therapy appointments. You'll benefit a lot as they create a series of exercises for you to do in order to strengthen your legs and may even give you some to do at home as well. Best of luck to you!

Have you seen a doctor about this? Do you have a diagnosis? If not, that should definitely be first on your list of priorities, but if you have I would suggest do some leg lifts with ankle weights to keep your quads and hamstrings in shape.

It sounds like the side-effects of taking Lipitor the heart medication for preventig clotting of the arteries. Do you take that by chance? Weakness of the legs is one of the undiscussed side effects that is extremely serious.

Have you seen a doctor? You're symptoms sound pretty serious and should be checked out.

If you know what is wrong with you, provide the condition for more advise.

Can you get to a pool or jaccuzi? You could do water aerobics or swimming.

If you can lift your legs while you're on your back, you could add ankle weights.

If you haven't been seen by a physician for this, get to one TODAY. If it were me, I'd go to the ER if necessary. You cannot afford to kid around with unexplained weakness.
Good luck.
