This is another stupid question that I have....but you know how people usually get tans to get darker?? Is there any way to make your skin lighter? I have dark skin, and I'm not saying that I don't love the skin I'm in, but I think I would would look WAY better if my skin was a couple shades lighter. All over my body of course. Should I stay in the house for a few days, haha??? I don't want to use make-up, that takes too much time....drink more water???

I know it's easier for me to get darker. I tan really well.

But to get lighter... the only way I can do that is to stay indoors, avoid the sun, and use lots of sunscreen or sunblock for the times I do go out. By going out I only mean walking to the car. No swimming, no running outdoors unless it's nighttime, no outdoor activities.

Absolutely stay indoors or in a very shaded area wearing long sleeves, a hat, sunglasses, and lots of sunblock for exposed areas. Then you may become a shade, maybe two lighter.

I wouldn't say you're actually getting lighter, but you're minimizing your body's creating melanin, the thing that makes your skin get dark.

God gave you that beautiful shade of skin, and for you to want to lighten it,could mean heart ache, Have you not seen the many dark people who did lighten there skin, only to suffer later on in life. Except who you are, and what you have, hold your head up high, and be thankful that you have what you have. The people who are very very light are also playing with fire, when they go to the beach and bask in the Sun, so they can tan., not thinking of skin cancer...Melanoma that kills Thousands.
