Tarot Readers?

Question

I have been reading Tarot cards for about two years now and still am not comfortable with using reversals in my readings. Are they really necessary or can I just use up rights only? Are the readings just as strong with out reversals? What are your opinions? Any tips on making the meanings easier with reversals? I am not the type of reader who only uses the traditional meanings of the cards, I use them to compliment my own divination abilities.

I started using the reversals and found while it might be a good learning tool, it can confuse the client. Clients like to see all the cards when you read.

I go with the feeling I get from the surrounding cards as they can determine the meaning. So, I use the cards in an upright position and read them based on
the situation
the surrounding cards
my own feelings coming from the cards
what the card actually means

I've been doing this for a long while now. Reversals are good beginner tools, teaching you how to "feel" the cards. You get to notice when a card will reverse, how it interacts with the other cards, and you will find that, when placing the deck in a totally upright position, your feelings still draw to the card not being "correct" with the rest of the reading, or with the situation, and you find that the reverse of the card does fall into place with the rest of the reading. You then take the reverse meaning for that card.

You should know the meaning of the cards in the reverse position. But it does not mean that you need to work the cards that way. Let the cards talk to you, see how they work together.

I've been reading cards for about 30 years now, dropped the reverse thing over a decade ago and not had any issues with it. That does not mean we don't go with the reverse meanings, but a card that does not feel right when you look at it is usually a card you should read reversed.

I do the same thing but I include the reversals. I usually only read for relatives or close friends. I have been doing this for about 10 years but it is only a hobby - I don't charge and I never read for myself. I do the same I look at the cards and what comes to my mind is what I read. But the reversals are important it can be a warning to the person that you are doing the reading for. Some people say they only want to know the positive stuff, and I will do that for them, but I feel that they are not getting the true meaning of the reading.

well the reversals can affect the whole ot come of the reading b/c of the meaning. i guess you can just us the right side up but just becareful that when power resversals are revealed that you just turn them right side up. i been doing readings for about 7 years now and i know the the reversals just have an impoartant part but for it tarot reader does it his or her own way.

If you use them to compliment your own abilities I would suggest that you continue to use the reversals. They do have their own meaning and you should force the cards to give you the meaning you want. Try learning more about them if you're uncomfortable. They're not necessarily a bad thing.

But if it continues to feel wrong, go with your feelings. That's what is most important.

no the reversals are meant for a reason of your reading.dont never throw your reversals out of the reading.

can you Divine what is right and wrong with me ? cause i use facade.com and i use tarot sometimes with reversal but its just as vague as not using them. oh and by the way one of my 'whorescopes' that i found on fugly.com says that Sagittarius's have a tendency to be murdered but My other horoscopes say this is my lucky year however my sisters boyfriend said he 'will shoot me with his pistol if i yell at my sisters kids' so do you think that horoscope is right?
