Well, I am Republican but I don't think Giuliani has a chance at winning because of his stance on gun control, abortion, and gay marriage. I do think he has really great leadership skills in other areas though.

What a shame. Rudy, in my opinion is the only republican capable of winning the White House, he won't get the nod he is way to progressive for the republican base, the protectors of American morals. I think it's a major blunder on their part, he might be the one person the party needs to not only change their image, but change their hard core destructive intrusion into others private lives. It's time for the real republicans to take their party back and restore some dignity.

I think it depends on who the left wing extremists nominate...the american electorate generally likes polarity...hillary r, i feel could be defeated by a trained monkey given travelgate, filegate, whitewater, etc., but on the other hand there are more formidable candidates with at least...some...intergrity. (remember were still talking left wingers.) The republican candidate is sure to be more of the opposite, however for a liberal, your best chance is rudy g. and given what he did for nyc. the personality quirks seem a minor trade off.

My guess is that Republicans are not going to nominate a social liberal. That's why I don't think Guillani can win. I'm figuring on someone like Brownback to excite the Republican base & get the nomination.

I think you're getting liberal/conservative confused with Democrat/Republican. Not all democrats are liberals and not all republicans are conservative. Especially on social issues.

I don't think you could sell a liberal candidate down south in the bible belt at all. So, my answer is no.
