I learned that things/people are not what they always seem to be. I think we all learn that growing up, and it stays with us threw life.
You know like the boy/girl that you just know for a fact that they are the best thing in the whole world ... lol then two months later they turn out to be butt holes.
Or when you totally buy into something someone tells you ... lol then turns out the were full of poop.

To understand and except the fact some people are not what you thought they were. You have to learn to let go if need be. When my husband left me with a 22 month old son and 7 months pregnant after being together for 9 years I just couldn't believe it. I actually thought he had cancer or something and he was trying to spare us the heartbreak of losing him before he got too sick. He just didn't want all the responsibility of having a house and kids. People will surprise you no matter how well you think you know them. I'm not saying to always have your guard up but you should remember to be open minded and aware.

The same one we've all heard a million times..never trust anyone.
The hardest lesson for me was learning that this rule applies even to girls you're in love with.

Learning to love myself has been my hardest lesson - And it took a lot of bumps and bruises to figure out I'm O.K. just the way I am -

I learned thats it's not always the girl next door that bad things happen to. I thought for the longest time that the world evolved around me and that no one I was close to would die....I thought that kind of stuff only happened to ''other'' people until real life hit me when my son's father passed away during my pregnancy.

That failing at high school takes a lot of catching up. And you will be judged by it for a long time. I have four tertiary qualifications, including a bachelor's and master's degree in science, and it still haunts me that I had to repeat my final year of high school. It's like having a criminal record.

I rushed growing up. I wanted to be grown, before I came out the womb. If I knew than what I know now, I would have never ever rushed growing up.

What ever bad thing or lie you did or said as a kid stays with for life. So just be honest with whatever you have done face the music there and then because later it haunts you for life. unfortunately we remember more vividly the bad things more.
