I was wondering if anyone has seen the movie the wicker man? If you have I was wondering if you liked the end. I loved the movie until the end then I just thought it was stupid. I mean they jusat kill the guy. Do you think so too?

I think the ending fit the story, after all that was the whole point of luring him to their island in the first place. It wasn't a great movie. I mean, why wouldn't they just grab him and tie him up once he got to the island instead of just letting him wander around investigating their phony "problem"? Why go through all the trouble of pretending to cover up the "crime" when you're just going to kill the dude? Probably would have been better as a Twilight Zone tv episode.

I've seen it and I was disappointed. The beginning was ok but the rest was just pointless. It was supposed to be adopted from an original screenplay by Peter Schaffer (who wrote "Amadeus"), and I wonder what happened that it turned out the way it is, sadly.
