When can i make long distance calls for free with Sprint cell service?

Is there a general answer here, like say after 7 p.m. or 9 p.m.? And, is it necessary to dial "1" before the number?

yes, arter 9:00pm and weekends are free unless you have a better plan. Yes, dial 1 before long distance.

Long distance is free all day except they deduct your minutes before 7p.m. All calls are free after 7p.m. and on weekends.
