1) Women are more receptive to males when they are in a scared state. (Etablished by a study)
2) Tickeling more fun in public
3) You can do the old "I'm letting my hand casually drop around the other seat" move..(this is very very old these days)
4) Fill time with your date w.o. being asked painful questions.
5) See a movie well getting credit for being social.
6) Be seen by others.
7) Chance to get her to sit on your lap...
8) Popcorn you are buying now is gentle introduction to
much bigger items you will pay for later..

The US is in a crisis covered up by Iraq: Traffic congestion: Tell your friends about Hallitubes..google it. This is really critical: children are being separated from their parents due to long commutes, leisure time is lost, stress increases....

Ok...you go to a movie so that afterwards you can go get a piece of pie and have some what of a ice breaker...its a start to a conversation and hopefully if you do it right it will lead into more conversation. The movie is just more of a ice breaker at first.

It's always been traditional, due to being in a safe environment around other people. You'd rather be in a crowd so you're not being fondled by your mate.

I guess people just like going to the movies because if you get bored during your date, you still have entertainment!
