Spring is usually the best time to plant bulbs, but it sometimes depends on the type of bulb. Just to be safe I would ask your local nursery about planting seasons for your types of bulbs.

You can plant all bulbs in the spring. Spring blooming bulbs won't bloom until next year though. Summer blooming bulbs, like Gladiola, will bloom this year.

Only if you give them a false winter first. Put them under your house or in the refridgerator for a couple of weeks. The transition from the cold to the warming temps of spring is what triggers them to open up and grow.

It's best to plant them in the fall, but if you put them in the fridge to fool them into thinking it's winter then you can plant them.
