He was a man that was charged with "prosecuting" any one in Cuba that disagreed with Castro, or opposed the revolution. His form of prosecution was extreme to say the least. He summarily executed anyone that came before him. There was said to be an appeals process, however, there is no record of the tribunal ever ruling in favor of the appeal.

You will be led to believe by either ignorant individuals or those that have no value for human life that he was a great man. This couldn't be further from the truth. To many Cuban exiles he is known as the Butcher of Cabana'. I don't know about you but I don't think that is a very flattering name for "a great man". Unless by great you are referring to his ability to kill innocent people.

From Wikipedia.org: According to José Vilasuso, an attorney who worked under Guevara at La Cabaña preparing indictments, these were lawless proceedings where "the facts were judged without any consideration to general juridical principles" and the findings were pre-determined by Guevara.
Yes, a truly GREAT man...only to those who try to pervert the truth to promote their agenda.

Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (June 14, 1928 – October 9, 1967), commonly known as Che Guevara or El Che, was an Argentine-born Marxist revolutionary, political figure, and leader of Cuban and internationalist guerrillas. As a young man studying medicine, Guevara traveled roughrough[›] throughout Latin America, bringing him into direct contact with the impoverished conditions in which many people lived. His experiences and observations during these trips led him to the conclusion that the region's socioeconomic inequalities could only be remedied by revolution, prompting him to intensify his study of Marxism.

The Motorcycle Diaries is a great movie rental about his travels as a young man. Some say he was disappointed in Castro's Communism-he had truly believed Communism would bring fairness, yet either far right fachism or far left communism yields a dictatorship.

Iin Bolivia, he was captured in a CIA/U.S. Army Special Forces-organized military operation.[1] Guevara was summarily executed by the Bolivian Army. It is also said that Guevara wasn't supported by the rebels and Castro ordered them not to protect Che because he was unhappy with Castro.
