I have this pet squirrel (three months old) that goes to bed 8-9 pm at night and wakes up 6-7 am EVERY morning to jog across my bed. He runs across the top then under and back over in a constant loop for about an hour, maybe two. I can't sleep in anymore...and if I leave my door close he starts to chew a hole in the corner of my door until I let it in.

Well first you shouldn't keep the baby, I know how cute they are especially at this age but once your little one hits 1 year your cute baby is going to change. As they mature and hit sexual maturity they get really aggressive and start to bite as well as attack this is due to frustration. I do wildlife rehab and took in a young adult. That little one turned on me so fast and bit right trough my Kevlar glove (Kevlar is what they use in built proof vests) If they have the jaw power to crack a walnut think about your finger. I am not trying to be mean but I have seen this so many times. I would take it to a Licensed Wildlife Rehabber to finish the care and to put him in with other squirrels to wild up. The problem now is if you decide later that you want him to live in the wild he will not be able to go. At that point he will have lost all fear of people, If he was raised with any other animals he will not fear them either. Because they are extremely food driven they will hurt people so that they will feed them (I have heard it before, that is why we get them in to begin with). Like I said I am not trying to be mean or to burst your bubble I just don't want to see you get hurt physically or emotionally. Let the little one be wild :)

Wow, I don't know - I would think that they would have similar "habits" but since they're normally a wild animal, it's hard to say how they would behave in an indoor environment. Most animals are social, maybe it's missing out on something like other squirrels.

Do you have a vet?

This site may have someone you can contact for information on "exotic" animals:

Hmm...I not sure if all of them need it, but it sounds like you should try it with yours. And if doesn't work, maybe try a long ramp that he/she can run on.
