Well I would give them at least $2.00 and nothing less. If you give them more say any where from $3.00-$5.00 that would really be a nice gesture, this goes along way to help them out.

A lot of people think that the delivery charge that is added on to the bill goes to the driver. This is not true it goes to the company or to the owner. So people say why give him more when he is getting that delivery charge money in his pocket. Also don't forget this poor driver probably has three or four pizza's to deliver in his car and he most likely rushed to get you your pizza on time. Usually if the driver has to give out free pizza's he will get verbally lashed when he gets back to the store and the more free pizza's given out will eventually cost him his job.

So yeah pizza drivers have a hectic job and it would be nice to get more than a buck. I felt really bad when I used to get nothing or a dollar. Everyone needs to survive with gas being so high and pay so little the driver depends on your tips.

Also one more thing your pizza driver believe it or not is more than a pizza driver in some places. He is the person who helps make and cut the dough and form it into size and cuts the ingredients, folds the pizza boxes, washes the dishes and prepares your order himself, which includes taking the pizza from the oven cutting it placing it into the box and putting into the pizza bag.

So please give generously the next time you get your pizza.

I always give my pizza delivery guy a couple of bucks, even if I'm paying over the phone I always have them add a tip! Those guys do work hard, and I certainly wouldn't want their job. I figure if I had to go pick it up myself I would spend at least that on gas, not to mention the inconvenience. Be nice to your delivery people :)

I used to date a pizza delivery guy and he was making good money out of that...so now, I think a $2 tip is good enough.

Depends on the service. If you get the right pizza, he has a nice attitude, and it doesn't take very long to get to your house (Depending on weather or not it's icy and cold on the roads, and how far away you live), than I'd say 2-3 dollars. Tip more if you get exceptionally good service, though.

Depending on the delivery place, they might charge a delivery fee. If thats the case, nothing. If you must tip, I think a dollar or two is good.

I'd say the same 15% you would tip at a restaurant. For $14, that would be $2.10. If I don't have change, I don't mind giving them $3, because they're trying hard to make ends meet.

Pry $3. If the drive is long tip more. If the weather is bad (ie snow storm, ice storm, no one has eletricity) or if it is like Super Bowl nite tip a little more. I know that if I am going out in a snow storm I would want a decent tip.

I would say 2-3 dollars. It all depends on how he/she acted and his/her timing. You should tip 15%. But remember you don't have to tip anything if service was terrible.
