Release Date Notes: (3/8/06) The current release date of December 14th, 2007 puts this movie in close competition with the first film with another fantasy adaptation, His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass. (5/17/06) Disney has decided to push this movie back several months until the summer of 2008, to avoid nearly direct competition with another fantasy children's tale, 'The Water Horse', also being produced by Walden Media. (12/31/06) Disney has chosen May 16th, 2008 as the release date (and an update: 'The Water Horse' is now scheduled for September, not December, 2007).
